We decided to stay here this weekend and will go to the country another time. We were up with everyone until 3 am talking and having fun and this morning everyone got up late apart from me and Trish. I went down to get the internet connected at the other house and came back to hang out and talk with Ed and later on Sarah.

Flowers in a park. For my mother.
Well this is out last day here in the house alone, Sarah, Ed and the kids arrive tonight and it will be great to see them though I know they will be exhausted. I’ll try to take some photos of them before we leave here tomorrow. We’ll spend a few days in the country with Fabienne and on Sunday we’ll go to our new house. I’m not sure if the internet will be hooked up there yet so it may be a few days before the weblog is back up and running but I imagine by Monday I’ll be back online. Meanwhile I will continue to write and photograph so there will be a lot to see.

Today was a quiet day again for me. I stayed here taking in the last few days in this house. Trish went to yoga and I had spanish class and then practiced guitar at home. A number of phone calls as well as we won’t have this phone when we leave the house.
Cata spent the whole day here working with another woman to get the house ready for the arrival of the family.
It will feel strange to leave this house and I’m sure it will feel as though we have once again just arrived, a different setting and in some ways a more familar one since we’ll be living near the house we were in last year and close to the market where Andrea works. Being up here I’ve had less desire to go into town and it will be easier to do so now.
This car above has nothing to do with our move. It was just a car that I saw on the street one day and felt a desire to take this photo.
The old and broken down fits in well with everything else here. The colonia we are moving too is an up and coming comunity where there is a mixture of old and new, mostly old but more and more people are buying and fixing up and renovating places.
