Well it came for a few minutes. We watched Maria full of Grace tonight all in spanish and listend to the thunder in the distance and finally the rain but it didn’t last long. Dinner on the balcony gave us a lightening show tonight and we watched as the rain moved across the land like an army approaching. The sky got darker and darker and then thunder and finally a quick heavy rain. Now its still out but the air is cooler.

The sky promised rain today. It gave a drop then allowed the sun to come back out but kept some of the clouds in case. The afternoon brought more dark clouds, people prayed, waited, but nothing yet. We stayed in most of the day, playing guitar, reading, studying, watching the sky. Now the sun is setting and the view amazing. This photo above is from a few nights ago. Each day brings a different painting, slight variations of color and texture.
The most excitement today was when we finally took Sarah’s motor scooter out for a ride. We went to places we hadn’t explored before and felt freedom as we flew by cars and people walking.
The sky on the way to Queretaro.

I forgot that at breakfast this morning we saw a scorpion on the cutting board. It was small and cute and I remembered the first time we came here to San Miguel eight years ago that I was sitting in bed working on my computer and was bitten three times by a scorpion, on my butt. Don’t laugh. Trish called the doctor and they asked if it was an albino scorpion. Trish did not speak any spanish and I don’t think they spoke much english but somehow they communicated. They said if it was not an albino scorpion then I would be fine, just put garlic on the bite. At least I think they told her that is what I should do.
Well it itched for three weeks and was not pleasant.
I did not play with the cute creature but got it out of the house as quickly as possible. Now I remember why we check out shoes before putting them on.
